Princess Tilda!

I just couldn't resist this beautiful Magnolia image the day I took the colouring class at Crafters and Co. This is what I brought home - among other things (shhh! don't tell!!). Hopefully I have put into practice what I have learned at the class and also put a little of my own spin on it - this is what I have ended up with.

A Little Watercolouring!

I am really looking forward to going to a class at Crafters & Co in Coleraine this weekend. It is taken by a lady who colours Magnolia images with Distress Inks. Meanwhile I decided to have a 'go' myself - this is the result! Maybe I should do an 'after' picture and she if my technique has improved!

A Quick Card!

Can it ever be too hot to craft? ... I think it must have been as I haven't been too industrious over the last few days. However, I needed a birthday card for a friend at short notice so I took a card I had made a couple of weeks ago which I had purposely left blank and added a simple sentiment. Both the flower and sentiment are by Papertrey Ink. This flower is lovely to colour - it is the kind of image that always seems to turn out ok!

Copic Colouring!

I love the vibrant effect that you can achieve by using Copic Markers. At the moment they are my favourite colouring medium! I do like to try other mediums too and won't give up on them - just yet, but I think that I can produce better effects with Copics. I often colour some stamped images in the evening or even when I go to bed and then keep them until I decide what I want to do with them!

I coloured these little Hero Arts flowers a couple of nights ago and decided that as they were so bright a simple white card would look best with them.

STAMPS - Hero Arts
PAPER - plain white cardstock
INKS - Memento Tuxedo Black
ACCESSORIES - Copic Markers, Circle Punch, Corner Rounder, Foam Pads (dimensionals)

Boards and Beams

I absolutely love Papertrey Ink! I love their ink, their cardstock, their stamp sets .... and their ideas! This card is made with their Boards and Beams set - it is really easy to colour with Copics and I liked how it turned out with the fushia pink and brown - a different colour combination for me!

One of my favourite Waltzingmouse Stamps

For this card I have used one of my favourite Waltzingmouse Stamps. It comes from the Roses in Bloom set and is so versatile. I particularly love this set as every time I bring it out to make a card I am pleased with the results!

STAMPS - Roses in Bloom (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
INK - Memento (Tuxedo Black)
PAPER - The Paper Mill (pink, white, green and vellum)
ACCESSORIES - Copic Markers, Kaiser Rhinestones

I would also like to thank everyone who visited my blog yesterday and left a message - I have been amazed to find comments from so far afield!

Welcome!

Welcome to my brand new blog! At last I have taken the plunge and I hope it will be fun sharing my creations with you. I love to make cards, am addicted to rubber stamping and even do some scrapbooking. I love to colour - mostly with Copic Markers or Prismacolour Pencils although recently I have been trying to perfect my colouring technique with Tim Holtzs' Distress Inks!
